What to Expect as
an Absolute Beginner
Many new students are intimidated by jargon and safety concerns. Here's what flight training actually looks like in simple terms.
Safety First
All training follows FAA standards, with certified instructors and well maintained aircraft. We have a dedicated team of seasoned mechanics that constantly ensure our aicraft are ready for your trainng. Additionally, our CFIs are some of the best in the industry, and we have the awards to back it up.
Step-by-Step Learning
You start with the basics, then build skills over time, maneuvers, radios, and decision making. Training is structured so you master each step before moving forward.
Classroom + Hands-On
Ground lessons and flights work together so you understand the concept first, then apply it in the airplane with an instructor.
Full-Time Pace
The professional track is full time. Many training days are built around an 8 hour schedule to support steady progress without compromising safety.
Dedicated Mentorship
You are not treated like a number. You will have a primary instructor who tracks your progress and helps keep training clear, consistent, and confident.

Professional Pathways (Career Flying)
Professional pathways bundle the ratings required for career flying and often run 12 to 18 months at many academies. By treating training like a full time job, our students typically complete the track in 8 to 10 months.
The M2A Difference:
At M2A, the professional track is designed to stay around $90,000 all in through CFII, while still following FAA standards and a structured syllabus.
On-Site Free Housing
Accelerate your journey to the airlines without the burden of housing costs. For students enrolled in our Professional Pilot Track, we provide fully furnished, modern apartments entirely free of charge. Located steps away from our training facility, you can focus 100% on your flight hours and ground school.
Common Fears & Questions
Is it safe?
Safety is the priority in every lesson. We follow strict FAA oversight, and we add structure through standardized procedures, experienced instruction, and strong maintenance support. Our goal is simple, train well, fly safely, and build sound decision making from day one.
What if I'm scared of heights or turbulence?
Many new pilots start nervous and become comfortable as they understand how the airplane works and how pilots manage bumps and weather. Fear of heights in a secure cockpit is different from standing on a ladder, you're strapped in with an experienced instructor. Turbulence feels dramatic at first, but you'll learn it's just air movement, like driving over a bumpy road.
How fit do I need to be?
For the Professional Track, you will need an FAA First Class Medical Certificate. This is the airline standard, checking vision, hearing, and heart health. Most people pass without issue. If you are pursuing a hobby license, the requirements are more flexible. We’ll guide you through the process of finding an Aviation Medical Examiner (AME).
How soon will I actually touch the controls?
On your first lesson, you will fly the airplane. Your instructor will manage the highest workload moments as needed, but you will practice basic maneuvers early and often under close supervision.
Do I have to decide right now if I want to be an airline pilot?
No. Many pilots start with a Private Pilot License and move into the professional track later. The difference is the pace and the timeline, we can help you choose the right starting point based on your goals.
What about motion sickness?
Some people experience mild motion sickness on their first few flights, but it usually subsides as you gain experience. Flying the airplane yourself (rather than being a passenger) actually helps because you're anticipating the movements. Your instructor can adjust maneuvers if needed, and most students adapt quickly. If you get car sick easily, mention it, we’ll take it slow.
Your first decision isn't "Do I sign a big contract?"
it's "Do I enjoy being in the cockpit enough to take the next step?"
